But I get what you mean about being shallow enough and you don't want it putting you out of position.
How comes you had to dial down for it? I thought it was about 40 yds and that for me sound mean dialing up from the closer previous stander. Aside from your mistakes id be pretty happy with your standing shooting.
The first target was 18 yrd which is 24 clicks higher than my 36 yrd zero at 1/8th moa.
The second target was 32yrds which is minus 2 clicks. I gave it R/H outside edge for the wind.Mind you it was nice to make it to the final again 3yrs in a row unlike some on here.
In future I'll leave the advice to to experts with their years and years of shooting. .

It's not the aim and release that decided the shot, it's the preparations.
