Yes that's correct for kneelers i do, but I don't move it for the standing position nor do I alter it's depth.JJ was enquiring about standing shots not kneelers.
The reason why I asked the question was to find out the problems he was having so as to offer some advice . Simply altering the depth of the hamster for standing shots can cause more of a problem and induce sideways sway and become worse than the problems of altering the position of the supporting hand and stance to overcome too deep a hamster.
Surely you would no that wouldn't you.
Let your shooting do the talking.
It's not the aim and release that decided the shot, it's the preparations.
