Well it's what Kenny MacAskill, the Scottish Justic Secretary, wanted and given the Andrew Morton tragedy...

Licensing would be farcical given the totally open border between Scotland and England and as you say a ban would require compensation. With club only storage, the politicos could claim a victory for public safety (yes, I know but these are politicians), point to all the airguns no longer in Scotland (as most of them would be sold south of the border) and the idiotic press and ignorant populace would be right behind him.

I hope you're right Rob, I really do but I don't think you are.
