The stupidity of the Issf rules means that airguns are in fact cocked on the line and have to be decocked, usually by the trigger.
So what you in fact end up with is something in the breech, the gun cocked, and the gun is deemed to be safe. Because the Issf can't see past their nose and won't put proper safety processes in place we now have a top down bad practice.
Breech flags etc are a nonsense. You don't assume a rifle is safe, you show clear, you don't point it at anyone.
