Juniper Green HFT Shoot Dec. 6th
Juniper Green will be running an Open HFT Shoot on 6th Dec. This is an Open HFT shoot as normal but will include selection for the Scottish Team
to compete in the WHFTA 2010 Championships. In addition, shooters can compete for the title of Open HFT Champion 2009
, and ‘open category team challenge’
the first of what we hope will become an annual event and an appropriate trophy will be awarded. Entry fee per shooter is £6 and hot food will be available. The ‘open category team challenge’ is a bit of an experiment and a new concept but we hope enough clubs will travel with sufficient members in order to qualify and be in with a chance of being ‘Top Team’!
The details are as follows:
The shoot is open to all comers and shooters can compete as normal for a Juniper Green badge in all categories. To compete in the Open HFT Championship, you must enter the Open category.
Selection for WHFT 2010 Championships
Criteria and format for the WHFT Team selection will be as follows: Anyone who resides in Scotland and has done so for the past 5 years will be eligible to take part and be selected to shoot for their country at next year’s WHFTA Championships at Kelmarsh Country fair. You must also enter the open category.
The course will be set up as per usual to the UKAHFT format and ruling. The team will consist of the top 8 shots on the day and providing that they are free and willing to attend on the day of the WHFTA Championships. Once the team has been selected you will be sized up with your ‘Team Top’.
Open HFT Champion 2009
Criteria and format for the Open HFT Competition will be as follows: The competition is open to all shooters regardless of whether they belong to a club or not. The course will consist of a 30 lane standard HFT course shot to UKAHFT format and ruling. The best shot on the day takes the 2009 title, a trophy and a Juniper Green badge.
Open Category Team Challenge
Criteria and format for the Team Challenge will be as follows: Pretty simple, same rules as above but the figures will be capped by the club who attends with the fewest shooters. So for example if club ‘X’ turns up with 7 members then all other clubs represented will only have their highest 7 scores count. There will be a cut off point of 5; if any club turns up with less than 5 members then sadly they cannot be included. You only have to fill 1 car minimum!
Plinking range will be open prior to the shoot, signing in from 1100hrs Safety brief 1130 hrs Shotgun start from 1200 hrs. All of the above events will be shot on the same course at the same time, anyone unsure of location or needs more info then please check out www.jgarc.org.uk
