Hi Gary
This pin allows for bayonet connection of accessories used, I believe, in 10m shooting.
It shouldn't be touching the cylinder? My one is clear of cylinder.
On a previous barrel I was advised to grind the pin off so I did.This then allows repositioning of barrel.
