I think a lot depends on the quality of the scope you are using ? cheaper scopes tend to go with bigger crosshairs/ dots . if what you are talking of is long range paper punching from a bench or table . then i think with a quality scope i would go with a fine cross hair . but if you are just using it for normal back garden shooting from a unstable position , then a normal dot or 30+30 reticle will do . i use a good red dot on my PCP pistol and at twenty yards can get some nice groups rested . so have a look around and try a few . might even go into a shop or two to check em out . but resist the salemans pitch till you find the right one ???
