I see where you are coming from , by taking the greatest care you should end up with the greatest rifle . MY GC2 barrel has been polished over the years by just shooting god knows how many pellets ( it must be hundreds of thousands ) but even so untill it was serviced by dave at SCR it had never put in the long range groups that it does now . that of course does not turn into big scores without the talent to judge wind and range . but at least i know any misses are me . plus as NJR will tell you there is a great pleasure in putting very small holes in bits of paper consistently ??? HOLLY
PS and to do it with a Rifle that most would call a museum piece is specially good .
