If memory serves me right, I think back in 2003 when the FT World Championships were held in England there were something like just half a dozen springer shooters out of 300 entrants. In 2013 there were 60, and in that 60 was some seriously specialised and expensive kit! The first time I've ever seen £3000 worth of March scope on top of a humble HW97
There seemed to be quite a few out at the NEFTA Winter league on Sunday - it seemed like every lane I could see had a springer shooter on it. Not just shooting in FT Recoiling class, some were in SFT class too.
Good to see and I think it paints a picture to casual observers that you don't need to buy the latest and greatest converted 10m match PCP to go out and have fun shooting in a competition.
I keep checking the scores for the various regions and looking for numbers of springers.
