If you've got a mildot scope, bracketing works extremely well in SFT.
So well in fact that if you can hold your rifle still enough while measuring the faceplate (needs some practice) then it's as accurate and sometimes more accurate than using traditional FT style parallax rangefinding.

Of course there are other challenges in SFT than just getting the range right, but getting the range right helps alot!.
