"Shooter must be in a considered kneeling position, such that the sole of one foot must be on the ground while the opposite knee must be no higher than 4in from the natural ground".

Doesn't really matter what the technicalities of the position are, as long as they apply to everyone. All these complications do is put pressure on the event marshalls, who are also there to enjoy themselves.
