I did get a one piece mount with those four riser posts but frankly it's not up to the job; it flexes too easily. We get some strong winds at Shebbear and I don't want variable scope alignment in a force 6 being another factor to contend with.
It's looking very likely these yank rings are no good. Like Rich, I think keeping the rail on is a good idea, however, the gun was shot to very good effect last Sunday with a set of BKL mounts and a shimmed scope. Decisions decisions eh?
