Very important to do these on a range. The close distances tend to have 15mm and there is only one way to deal with them - work out the settings for each yard until there is less than 1MOA difference between +/- a yard :-)

45yds+ errors are expensive in FT comps but variability has plenty of causes (pellets, regulator, hold, twitches, etc - just keep reading StB for a long list of excuses :-)

Between 25 and 35 (zeroed at 30) there isn't much in the way of clicks typically but reducers can force a clicks addition. So if it is a full size kill I wouldn't worry about a couple of clicks. Get the wind right and there is plenty of target to hit :-)
