I totally agree with Chis (it IS Chris and not Sam!!).
However, not all leups are the same I've found. I have two 20-50's, one I assume is considerably older than the other. The older of the two I find snaps into focus just like the Nikko's do, but you have to focus on something with more detail than the faceplate. I use the string knott or bark on the tree.
My other 20-50 has optics just as good, but needs a bit more work in getting the focus point just right. I'm sure it comes down to personal attributes as to whether a particular scope suits you. Confidence in your kit is paramount as we all know, so whatever we find works best for us is best...... simples!
