As above, another vote for the Bushnell. You won't get a better scope around your budget. On high mounts (as with Jamesy I use Sportsmatch AOP55) it's a doddle to load, even with the super long sunshade. You just have to get used to coming in from the side rather than the top. Harder to describe than to do. With an older 77K you might have more problems as these had a more restricted loading port but the 97Ks are cut almost to the stock level either side: loads of room! Yes the Bushnell is long, very long, but it's slim.
