Seems that you need high mounts for the MTC, and you will probably find the cheek comb is too low as a result.
I find that a light scope mounted low tends to work better for me on a springer probably for the same reasons as Brian. I'd still be inclined to consider the Bushnell 4200 8-32. A good used one is about the same money as a new MTC or Hawke but it's in a completely different league. They did a factory custom mildot retrofit on the Bushnell and you may be able to find one, but for FT a fine duplex is not a problem if you dial.
