That's how i see it, when the pellet leaves the barrel and enters our '5mph 90* wind', the wind takes a certain amount of time to act fully on the pellet, at first it is having little affect as the air 'slips' over and under the pellet but eventually persistance pays off and the pellet is ever more accelerating sideways to match the 5mph sideways force.
How long that takes is something beyond me but the pellet isn't travelling sideways at 5mph as soon as it leaves the barrel ...or am i stating the obvious....that's why i'm a builder and not tucked up in a warm office with intelligent peeps!
