Put parallax to infinity, set to mag you range on, look at dull overcast sky, close eye and open again, turn in until ret is crisp and sharp. Normally if you are long sighted and need reading glasses you will need a - (minus) figure which is usually an anticlockwise turn of the occular. If your short sighted you will need a + (positive) clockwise turn of the occular.

Also another method is newspaper at 55yrds, don't look at reticle but focus on fine detail then use reticle to aim, if its not sharp you need to adjust it accordingly until both focus and ret are sharp.

That's prob all wrong but its how I've done it and seems to work ok for me.
