This works well for me because I keep in the left lens to read my charts and shoot without a lens in the right eye. I found that using my contact in my right eye caused errors in ranging. Also, the lens are changed pretty often, so that leaves a chance for further error due to changes in lens quality from one batch to the next. I simply set up my scope to my natural eye and use it without a contact lens. So far, so good and I've been shooting that way for at least 5 years.
