Why would it be in focus for one person and not another.... And if it whites out for one surely it will white out for all..... Am I missing something?
With a gun, try before you buy is good advice and fairly obvious, what fits one does not fit another... but scopes?? Eye relief is adjustable to your build, as it were but thereafter it either does the job well, bad or somewhere in between.... but for all persons surely????
Your comments very much appreciated
Your point may be fine in relation to a hunting scope, most middle of the road 3-9x40's for example are very similar.
However, at high mag of x50 or above, different scopes behave very differently in terms of clarity and brightness of sight picture. Many also behave differently in terms of temp shifts, and what one person is happy to work with, another may not.
Also, things like a very thick ret make quite a difference at high mag, and will not suit many people.
