I think there has been a translation problem there. Pretty sure that Andras means that an NS60 shows a lower range than it should be when it is cold.
In relation to other comments - I reckon it is the change in dimensions inside the snail shape that leads to the change in ranging. Only needs a very small diameter change to get the change in wheel movement. Views not based on any look inside a scope just drawings that have been posted in varous places. Someone might able to calculate the effect given dimensions of scopes internals.
