Thanks for posting this Trev, iv been holding off not really knowing what to say since finding out at the beginning of the week, like Trev said, yea he has been undergoing treatment for a small tumour behind his nose, but always positive of a good result! He had been planing his future options in a positive way and if you saw him recently would not have really known any different as his positive attitude shone through!
I can't report on the exact nature of his passing, but it was totally out of the blue to everyone including his family. I spoke to him last Friday and he seemed fine apart from a headache that was being stubborn to move.
Over the last couple of years I had found a very good friend in Ian, as any one that new him would agree one of the good guys, always willing to muck in and help out, he even became a family friend, socialising with myself and my wife, looked after our dog when we holidayed.
Myself and my wife are absolutely gutted at this unexpected loss! I can't remember feeling this sad for a long time.
RIP Mate you will be dearly missed
Our sincere thoughts are with his family at this sad time
