Yes, I used one for HFT. Prefer the half-mil reticle for bracketing and being able to adjust the mag to suit rules without too much head scratching is great. Higher mag (14x) is great for long ones but if short mini-kills at 8 yds are your bane then a lower mag makes it easier to see the KZ in amongst the pellet splatter all around it :-)
I haven't used it in a while but the zoom ring was stiff and never seemed to ease any. Same with a Falcon 8-25x FFP (zoom range?? ) which is very heavy and optics are not very good compared with the 4-14, so it sits on a shelf and unloved.
