I don't compete, but as an outsider looking in it does appear that by allowing competitors to use a lightweight pellet at the maximum velocity i.e. 12 ft.lb the organisers are turning a blind-eye to air rifles that would clearly fail any formal/legal testing. Perhaps a standard competition test should be adopted using one pellet type only. This probably wouldn't work as people will complain about putting a pellet through their rifles that they dislike or feel will upset their system.
ps I'm in no way trying to stir things up but if I'm thinking this who else is?
