I found getting out of the door was quite easy on a tandem, and i get vertigo... you'll be fine. It's actually quite found it quite freeing to be able to jump off/out with falling being the actual purpose rather than the problem. You touch 150mph for a few secs before the drogue slows you down to 120mph so the adrenalin soon kicks in.
One tip, keep your mouth closed. It can be cold a 15,000 ft and going through it at 150/120mph soon puts a chill on teeth. You'll have to concentrate because for about 10 secs you will be screaming like a girl.
Chute deploy is a lot softer than you think, and the landing was so soft I didn't even know we'd touched down.
