Head up is generally more comfortable in all prone disciplines, and thus can reduce problems with strain on eyes and neck, but I would have thought the advantages of sticking a 32mm scope as tight to the barrel as possible could outweigh that...

i suppose you could always shift the stock's contact points downwards as well, then all all your doing is changing the relationship between scope and barrel as opposed to scope and eye.
