Thumbs up Why is 1/2 mildot important?

You will find that if you just have mildots you can judge to a half mildot ok but if you need to hold over to a 1/4 you will need the half mildot mark.

As for the mag on your scope you will find that a zoom has more lens in it than a fixed mag and will let less light through .

I use the Hawke Tactical fixed 10 which has the half mildots and I've found to be great.

Best thing you can do is try to find people who will let you have a go with theirs and try as many as you can then make up your own mind.
