It's with great sadness that I announce that Neil Long has lost his battle with his illness and passed away.

Neil Long won't be known to everyone as he tended not to hug the limelight, but was BFTA Secretary for a number of years and when he stood down he lent his time to being CSFTA Secretary. A mild mannered man who was always available to lend his sage advice he will be sorely missed by his fellow shooters at North Oxon, and in CSFTA, and in the BFTA.

I'm pleased you got to see a nice spring after the long winter Neil.

The photo was the 2016 End of Season shoot when you told us that your Cancer was back .... we had a long chat and a big hug and you were so stoic, determined to sort everything out for your family. Sleep well, and thanks for being our friend. Tricia & Josh :shot:

Very sad news. Neil went out of his way to help me when I restarted shooting in 2013. Such a friendly guy.
