Welcome to Shooting-the-Breeze.com

A site for airgunners that like to talk about it, as much as they like to do it...

Here we hope you will find up to date information, news and reviews, and as much info as we can pack in about competition airgun shooting in the UK and indeed, around the world.
As well as information and results, we'll be posting regular articles and reviews about aspects of the sports that we find interesting.
Organisations and clubs are welcomed to add info and events to the calender, and there are facilities for members such as a discussion forum and galleries etc.

On the left you'll find links to the forum and your control panel, and the search facility.
On the right you'll find the calender, which links to a thread in the forum specific to each event.
Below you'll find the news headlines, articles, polls and recent active threads from the forum.

If you have any feedback, please let us know by clicking here.

This weekend marked the end of an era; the last course set by Messrs Westley and Slane to Cambridge rules. After this nothing will be the same again. No longer will the woods echo to the cries of “how far away is that?” and “my pellet won’t even fit through a hole that small.” and the ever popular: “it’s on the end of the string, at the top of that tree, in between all the branches, you’ll have to time it carefully.”
I’m sure I speak for everyone in thanking them for challenging us and making us work just that bit harder. I know the satisfaction derived from getting one of those targets down.
Next shoot 10Th July to UKHFT rules.

» HFT Masterclass Series

HFT Masterclass

Due to the success of the first 3 Masterclasses, we at HFT Masters have decided to add a further 3 Masterclass days at Petes Airgun Farm in Essex.
To be held on the last Saturday of July August and September
These are being sponsored by The Airgun Centre and Gunmart.

The days will be aimed at people who don't necessarily shoot competitively, but would like to know a bit more
about the great sport of HFT, maybe seeing what it is all about before buying their first rifle or the many plinkers who would want to pop along and see how to get the best out of their equipment to improve their enjoyment.
We will have several experienced shooters at these events who have experience of all types of shooting disciplines, to share their knowledge, and Simon Vant for the technical talks.
There will be several different rifles available to try, including springers.
It does not matter what... [Read More]
» Kibworth Open Round 4 Results
Jun 25, 2016 - 4:25 PM - by Kathy T
The weather was kind to us for round 4 of the Kibworth open. Everyone had just about finished when the heavens opened. Thank you to Dave Smith and David Nicholls for setting the course.

Thank you to anyone who marshalled, and those that stayed to fetch the course in.

Congratulations to Dave Taylor on the top score of the day.

Those who have won trophies, can collect at the next round, apologies for not having them to present today.

For those of you who haven’t already booked, there is a charity shoot on Sunday 10th July at Misfits (at Luffenham). This is in aid of the Royal British Legion. Pre-booking is required for this event, via the UKAHFT site. There will be trophies for individuals as well as the team event.
